SHIROYAMA HOTEL Kagoshima is a traditional and local 5-star hotel established 60 years ago and offers the top quality of service. To make your stay in Kagoshima special, the hotel produced tour courses that you can book.

This plan takes you to the “Ibusuki” area, which is famous for its hot springs. The area has a good volume of geothermal energy and your experiences through the tour are based on the “power”. First, you will go to the sand bath “SUNAMUSHI” spot to get buried in the steamed sand by hot springs. You may not feel good to be buried in the sand in other areas but here it is different. Don’t worry. Your head will be out from the ground to breathe. After refreshing in the sand bath, you will have a floating noodle “SOMEN” lunch. The sauce is soya sauce base and really tasty. Then, you will go to the area called “Unagi Onsen”, next to Unagi Lake. It is a small hot spring village and nice to stroll around. The people living in this area use geothermal energy for cooking. How? The guide will bring some ingredients and show how to cook them. You can have them for your afternoon snack. After you are back at the hotel, you will visit a brewery that produces good-quality beer. They are trying to perform a sustainable business by using local ingredients. At the finale of the tour, you will have a special dinner table at SHIROYAMA HOTEL Kagoshima “Kagoshima Gastronomy Night” at the restaurant “Shisui”. The head chef will give a performance next to your table. The omakase meal is made from Kagoshima ingredients which you can enjoy at this table only.
