Yoshie KAKIMOTO

Managing Director
Originally from Kagoshima, I have been living in Hong Kong since 2006 and have maintained a dual-base lifestyle between both cities since 2016.
As a passionate hiker and an Oxfam Trailwalker 100km finisher, I now share my love for the outdoors as a professional guide in the Kirishima area. I am a certified JMGA (Japan Mountain Guides Association) Trekking Guide Stage I.
Beyond the trails, I am a certified Shochu Meister and Kikisake-shi (Sake Sommelier). I have also earned a Professional Certificate in GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training, reflecting my commitment to responsible travel.

Kanako NAKAJO

Hello! I’m Kanako, a government-licensed guide interpreter based in Kagoshima.
I have a deep passion for nature, history, local culture, and I especially enjoy exploring places off the beaten path and uncovering stories rarely found in guidebooks.
I am also a certified Chiran Tea Ambassador. Chiran, in Kagoshima, is one of Japan’s leading tea-producing regions—something that may surprise many visitors. Through my guiding and tea expertise, I invite you to discover the history, nature, and everyday life of this unique region.

Administration and Operation Manager
Born and Raised in Kagoshima. Have lived in Amami, Nagashima, Akune in Kagoshima before. Also traveled several times to Yakushima. Loves food culture, hot springs, traveling, and spending time in nature. "I hope our guests enjoy the variety of cultures and activities in Kyushu!"

Born and bred in Kagoshima. I love Kyushu Island including Kagoshima and other 6 areas, so I can be your guide everywhere on Kyushu island. Born in Kagoshima.
After spending more than ten years living in various countries around the world, I returned to Kagoshima in 2002.
It was only after coming back from abroad that I truly came to appreciate the beauty of Kagoshima’s nature, food, and culture.
Now, I am excited to share this renewed sense of wonder and the many charms of Kagoshima with visitors from around the world.

Lived in different places and countries and returned to my hometown Kagoshima. Kagoshima has one of the most active volcanos in the world. You can feel the power of nature by sea kayaking around the volcano island Sakurajima. Kagoshima is full of adventure and deep history. I am looking forward to guiding you, my hometown!!

Used to work for an airline company, so could travel to many foreign countries with lots of joy experiencing their unique cultures. Grew up in Macau and settled in Kagoshima from 1999. Totally have lived in Japan for more than 27 years. Native Cantonese speaker, speak Mandarin, English and Japanese. Worked for Kagoshima Tourism Association, Kagoshima International Exchange Association and local TV program on tourism and food. Have more than 10 years of working experience as a tour guide. Enjoy traveling around Kagoshima, Kyushu and Japan with my guests, exploring the beautiful scenery and cuisine. In Kagoshima, we have Japan's most active volcano (Sakurajima) and Japan's romantic city to starry sky (Tanegashima), and so on...please come and experience with me!

After over 10 years of guiding nature-based tours overseas—including hiking, stargazing, and aurora tours. I returned to my beloved hometown.
Deeply passionate about Kagoshima and its natural beauty, I value each encounter with my guests and aim to create memorable experiences that engage all five senses.

Cruises in Kinko Bay with fishing using leisure fishing boats (License # Kagoshima-3439) can be provided.
Born and growing up in east downtown Tokyo, and moved to Kagoshima after working in the US. Over 20 years of experience as an engineer and in global operations management in the United States (CA, Bay Area).
Currently focusing on child-rearing, development of viewpoints, and fishing points from Kinko Bay. Acquired Shochu Meister in 2025.
